Synopsis
It is the story of Lajja Shankar Pandey (Ashutosh Rana) who believes that Goddess Kali will grant him immortality if he sacrifices the lives of children to her. When he kidnaps the Chief Minister's son, however, CBI trainee Reet Oberoi (Preity Zinta) is assigned the task of tracing Lajja Shankar. Reet takes the help of Professor Aman Verma (Akshay Kumar) a criminal going through hardcore imprisonment. The Prof. is overcome by her beauty and charm and agrees to help CBI. The culprit is killed in the end, but the professor too dies in the effort.
