Q: It seems that you've been refusing lot of film offers ?

A: Give me a role worth my while and I'll do it.I don't want to play a simple pering bimbette all my life.I'am listing to someone great scripts.I have an author-backed role in Kundan shah's next, Dil Hai Tumhara. Moreover, my life doesn't revolve around films,films revolve around my life.what'll I tell my kids ten years down the line? That I wore frilly frocks,contact lenses and worked with the best banners in town ? That's not my power -trip at all.

Q: Did you feel like hero of the film ?

A: I just felt very thrilled I'm glad a lot of "woman" films like kya kehana,Astitva,Zubeidaa went down well with the audience.The female point of view was being listen too.what was commendable wast that the films were being made by male directors,minus the chauvinism of course.

Q: Your female friends don't get insecure ?

A: Never, I'd never snatch their boyfriend away from them.simply because I don't want any one to do that to me either.

Q: Did you ever get violently attraceted to the actors you work with ?

A: No way buddy.Work is serious business.And actors are just too narcissistic.It's unhealthy.I mean i'm preeing in to mirror 24 hours in a day while giving a shot.Imagine having to deal with another man who does that as well.We could end up in some shrink's couch.Even when I was in a relationship, my boyfriend rarely visited me on the sets.They are too diffrent aspect of life and hope to keep it that way.

Q: Finally give me a quotable quote on acting ?

A: I don't remember who the actress was but thsi is what she said about showbiz: "Hollywood is a place where they'll pay me one million dollars for my smile and 10 cents for my soul".
Showbiz here isn't as brutal as that,but you get the drift.It's a success driven industry. You're only as big as your last Blockbuster.
